Statement of Purpose:

Large scale bronze statues of Saddamn Hussein will decorate the turnpike as visitors approach the memorial. This will include a replica of the famed statue that US soldiers pulled down following their victory in Bahgdad, as well as a soviet style bronze of the dictator, modeled on his appearance follwing his capture. The statues will be designed to look old, like the monuments left over following the cold war. This approach will cause visitors to reflect on what the soldiers honored at the site died fighting for.

The memorial site will be a simple reflecting pool with the names of the dead projected onto its surface in light.
