Statement of Purpose: My memorial is a collection of statues that depict various members of the Bush administration throwing soldiers’ corpses into a hole in the ground. South of the center of the proposed site will be an enormous hole. Closest to this pit will be a statue of George W. and Dick Cheney preparing to dispose of an American soldier. A bit further away will be a second pairing of Donald Rumsfeld and Paul Wolfowitz carrying a soldier to the pit. Behind them, Condi Rice and Douglas Feith carry a soldier. Beyond them, statues of more of the Iraq War brain trust struggle with bodies, all headed toward the hole. And farthest from the hole, but still headed over with a soldier are a plainly dressed man and woman. They represent all Americans who continued to support this war for fear that we would loose face if we didn’t "stay the course"and "show resolve." Most of the figures will be positioned to the North of the hole, as if they had just walked over from the White House. Only the "stay the course" couple will be positioned to the South of the hole. They will be set as if walking in from the Southwest. All the statues will be about 50 feet tall.
